May 3u: The marching column will form on Willamette street, right resting on Seventh street, in t ho following or dr: Companies A and C, Oregon National Guard, on right of line act ing as escort; Sous of Veterans, i Grand Army of the Republic, o- man s Relief Corps, school cnnui en, mayor and city council and citizens In carriages. The line will move promptly at 9:30 o'clock a. in., moving south on Willamette street to Fourteenth, east on Fourteenth street to Alder street, south on Alder street to the Odd Fel lows' cemetery. The usual services will' be held at the G. A. R. lot. Af ter the services the column will move to tlm Snanish War Veterans' lot, whcTe the. C. A. R. will participate with those veterans in the ceremo nies of honoring their dead com rades. At the conclusion of these ceremonies all will return to the city. The Woman's Relief Corps-will serve dinner at the G. A. R. hall to the old soldiers, their families and friends. At 3 o'clock p. m. the G. A. R. col umn will again form and march to tho mill race on- Kast Ninth street, .where they will participate with the W oman s Jtener corps in me ueau tlful ceremony of decorating the wa ters with roses in memory of the sol dier-sailor dead who perished in the waters of cur country and whose re mains lie In unnarkcd and unknown graves in the depths of the rivers and oceans.. At the conclusion of these ceremonies all .will be dismissed, this service finishing the services of. the dav. ' No evening services will be held. Sunday, May 24 On Memorial Sunday, May 24, ser vices will be held at 11 a. m. nt the M. 0. church. The address will be delivered by eRv. W. B. Pinkerton, of tho Congregational church. The Rev. P. K. Hammond will deliver the address at the decoration of the wa ters May 30th. . To all of these sarvices all patriot ic organizations and citizens gener ally are earnestly requested to partic ipate with the G. A. R. The school children are especially invited to Join with us. -.
