The prospec tive visitor needs only to notify the festival committee how many days he will be here, how many persons there will be in the party, and how much the visitor desires to pay for room, with or without board. The application will be. placed on file and the record will be kept in such a way that when the visitors begin pouring in they can go direct ly to the place assigned to them and have no further trouble. This will be done without cost to out-of-town visitors. Woodcock, attorney f.r the company, was read, lie stated that It would not be good business policy to turn the plant over to tin- city be fore the money is secured or the bonds are given the company in pay ment. Ho stated further that the property is now held in trust, by a trust deed, and It could not he turn ed over until the consent of the trus tee was obtained. Contracts covering the transfer of the property were submitted to the council by Mr. Woodcock, who was present, and they were referred to the committee of the whole, -vhleh will meet tonight. limit ino Matters. The petition asking the street rail way company to move its track on Alder street to A street was reported unfavorably by the committee to which it was referred. The report was adopted. The matter of n new sidewalk on the south side of Kast Thirteenth street from Alder street to t'ulvur sity avenue was referred. The fire and water committee recommended that an arc light he established at the corner of West Kleveuth and Washington streets. The improvement of Ahh-r street from Kast Kleventh street to the mill raen was ordered. He was alsr ordered to draw an ordinance prohibiting the cutting of i lie pavement only on a proper permit. An amendment 1o the dog license ordinance was order ed drawn, providing a license of $2.50 for males and J5 for females. An ordinance prohibiting the using of sidewalks by bicycles on any paved street was also ordered drawn.
