DESECRATION AT
MASONIC CEMETERY
Miscreants are reported as t.sing

The net Is laid to boys, but none of
them have yet been caught at It. One

badly damaged.
Efforts will bo made to upprehond
the persons doing the mischief and
In case tiny arc caught they will un

Suggestion has been made that long

NEWS OF INTEREST
Helshuzzar nroducfd under
ali't management of .Martin K. Rob
inson, running Thursday anO Friday
nights last week at the armory, un
der the auspices of the .Methodist
church, was a decided success from
an artistic, financial and Instructive J
viewpoint. The cast contained seven- ;
ty-flve people of this city, many ofi
whom proved to possess iuu.cn ta.eni.
The costumes were beautiful, the mu
sic inspiring, the acting In many re
Bpects equal to any thai ha3 been pre

fessor RoblnBon is certainly an auie
Instructor.
MrB. Hay Ostrander. who has been
In South Dakota and Minnesota for
the paBt ten months, visiting rela
tives, returned home last week. Mrs.
Ostrander, when she left this state,
was not quite Bure she would ever be-
ronle reconciled to Oregon again
However, after nearly a year's ab
sence, eoniine In contact with all
kinda of weather characteristic of
those slates, she finds herself now
well satlBfied with Oregon and glad
to get back to the land o fldeal pro
portions. Mr. and Mrs. Ostrander
are this week moving to their SO
acre ranch five miles west of town.
Mr. Ostrander will still hold his po
sition In the barber shop.
The many friends of Rev. C H
Wallace, the pioneer preacher of
I.ane county, and you might say of
this section of Oregon, will regret to
learn that he Is quite ill at his home
in this city. Rev. Wallace's health
has been slightly impaired for some
time, dating back to an Injury. Nit-,
withstanding he has been on the
street up to early last week, when he
was confined to his home. His pres
