Last Monday afternoon the citi
zens of Cottage Grove and ninny of
the near-by farmers met at the Com
mercial club rooms and discussed the
fruit dryer question. George Comer
called the meeting to order and Mr.
C. M. Densmore gave a talk on the
fruit and dryer business, and urged
all who were interested in f urt tier
ing the general development of this
section to take hold of the proposi
tion. It now seems that a dryer will
he built. $2uoo was subscribed at
the dose of the meeting. The plan
is to organize with a capital stock
of $;i)oij, with at least 3.000 sub
scribed, to be paid In on Installments.
Mr. Densmorp will return here Sat
urday when another meeting will be
held In the afternoon at 2 o clock
at the club rooms to which all are
Invited. He hopes to be able to
commence, construction of building
by May 1.
