Titus and family are down from Spores Siding, on the Mohawk branch. Miss Ora Calef left this forenoon for Portland, where she will visit for some time. Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Hug, of Elgin. Or., are In Eugene and may decide to locate here. E. P. Redford, of Saginaw, was In the cltv today. He made a pleasant call at The Guard office. Mrs. Carrie Fessenden returned to day from Portland, where she has been fur some time pas. Mrs. Hugh Hampton came down from Goshen on the noon train to day to do some shopping. S. C. Bartrum, supervisor of the Cascade forest reserve, came down from Roseburg last evening. Miss Annetta Burr came up from Portland this afternoon to visit her mother, Mrs. Laura Burr. Earl F. Strong went to his home at Roseburg this afternoon to visit his parents during the Easter vacation. David Gover is down from Cot tage Grove. His wife passed through here this noon on her way to Salem. Mrs. L. L. Warnock came down from Goshen on the noon train today She had been visiting her parents there. C. Bushnell and wife, of Aurella Iowa, arrived here yesterday and left on this morning's stage for the lower Siuslaw. J. O. Keyes and daughter, Mrs. Germaine, of Seattle, after a visit in Eugene, left today for Salem, where they will visit. Lester Adams arrived here last night from Fort Worth, Texas, and is visiting the family of A. J. Davis on East Fourteenth street. Mrs. L. Jackson, of Berkeley, Cal., arrived here this morning to see her husband, who was taken to one of the hospitals a few days ago, being quit elll. Professor F. S. Dunn left this af ternoon for the Coos Bay country to lecture before the Order of Eastern Star lodges in the capacity of grand worthy patron.
