Lakln, wife of David fl. -Lakln, died at her home, 170 East Eighth street, Eugene? Sunday, March 29,' 1908. at 12:10 p. m., aged 69 years, 1 month and 6 days. The cause of death was lagrlppe with complications. She had been con fined to her bed only a day or so, although she had not heen well for a lorn: time. Mrs. Lakln was born in Adair coun ty, Mo., and crossed the plains with her first husband, M. T. Branstetter. In 1H64, settling in the Long Tom valley In Lane county. Mr. BranBtet ter died March 2S, 1883. About six years afterward his widow married David K. Lakln, who survives her They were married In Eugene, but lived for a number of years 25 miles west of here, coming to town nbout ten years ago and residing here since. Hesldes her husband Mrs. Lakln leaves the following children: Mrs. Fniinlo Mnnivnn, of Portlnnd: .1. Cllnlun Branstetter, of Eugene; Wil liam W.
