I The Elks' minstrels at the Eusene ' theatre were greeted by a packed I house last night. The performance i was bfyond expectations, and that-ls ! Baying a good deal, for we all knew the show would . be good, all our fevorlfs were in rhe cast, and we knew that Messrs. Draoer and Miller jftwav. succeed in their work I" this line wherever they go. The audience ! appreciated the work of the perfor- mers and showed Its appreciation by frequent encores and ontbJrsts of 'applause. A part of the credit for the success of the -show is due a number of University boys, -who help ed materially. The inimitable Ar thur Van Dusen was the star end man and others on the end who did splendidly were Ibrold Germanus, Virgil Cooper and Elmer Paine. Be sides the students on the ends there were Judge Wlntermeier, Martin Hammltt. Clint Drapfr and Harry. Miller, the last two named being the gentlemen who put the show on. The , "gags" were" all good and ome of them hit local celebrities well.
