Tracey Lyons, of Walton, visited Saturday and Sun day at A. M. Richardson's. W. D. Neely and Mr. Knowles were In these parts looking after timber last week on Wolf creek. There was a shooting match hen last Saturday for a beef, also a fat hog. Scott Lyons carried off first choice, with Harry Uoring a close second. Some good shooting w,i. done, considering the stormy weath er. . There is quite a stir in bnlldlne going on right In this near vicinity. A. M. Richards Is having a residence built, Win Sutherland Is erecting n new barn and the material Is on tin ground for an up-to-date school home which will be built In time lui the spring term. The excitement that sprung up a few months ago in the timber-business has quieted down some, but perhaps with the coming of good weather there will be something do ing In that line. No excitement in these parts aboul politics. It is too common to create mitch stir here. It seems Unit there is lots of con fusion and dissatisfaction about the Eugene, Elmlra and Florence tele phone line. Looks like there Is some thing wrong some place.
