TN speaking of his Rood healtk aid ex A trenie old age, Mr. Brock says : "After a man has lived in the world as long as I have, he ousht to have found out a great many things by ex perience. I think I have done so. "One of the things 1 have found out to my entire satisfaction Is the proper thing for ailments that are due directly to the effects of the climate. For 119 years 1 have with stood the changeable climate of the United States. "I have always been a very healthy msn; bnt, of eearsc, subject tu the aiiee tions which are due to sudden changes in theclimatoand temperature. "As for Dr. Hart man's remedy, Pe-ru-na, I have found It to be the best.lfnot the only reliable remedy for these affections. It has been my standby for many years, and I attribute my good health and ex' treme old age to this remedy. "It exactly moots all my require ments. Tours truly, A letter dated Jnly 8, 1900, written for Mr. Brock by his wife, Sarah J. Brock, states : "Last winter I had just gotten up out of a spell of sickness, when 1 commenced taking Peruna. I think It improved my health very much." In a postscript, Mrs. Brock adds: "He receives a great many letters Inquiring about what Peruna will do. I do not answer them all, as I think they can, get a bottle and try it," . ' WONDERFUL MEETING AT M. E. CHURCH XO SKItYICES SATURDAY KXC'KPT UKJI KAKSAL TIlliKI-: SKI1VK' KS SUNDAY A large crowd, greeted Mauden sehleld last night, lie spoke on "The Condition of Entering Heaven." With Irrefutable logic he argued that not confirmation, nor baptism, nor good works are the condition, but the new birth as Christ proclaimed it In the third chapter of John's gospel. The great audience sat motionless throughout the masterful argument, and at the close fourteen persons came forward to the chancel seeking for and experiencing what the new birth is. One second of experience did more to enlighten their hearts and minds as to what the new birth really is than all the thinking, read ing and experlonees they hud hoard The evangelist Is preaching the forceful, direct, plain gospel the standard lu sots Is high, nothing ef feminate about It, consequently many men are yielding to the clarion cali. The principal causes for evil speak ing on the part of the evil doer were carefully considered. He mentioned, in part, unkind disposition, clannish ness, envy and inferiority to others. In a very able manner he showed his power to discuss this delicate subject in such a way as to be entertaining and at the same time helpful. His humorous Illustrations were many and well received.
