Hull s Rei Cross Drug Store IM I I S, -Si: .V.!Wnr.tS-,. t- -rvrr ,'.-itTct . of tho north bound flyer which passed through Eugene Tues day evening, sucxieded lute In iho af ternoon and learned from him that a girl tallying exactly with the descrip tion given of Miss Kelly hoarded the train here and got off at Albany. The shorlff of I.lnn county was then asked to look out for her and he located her at the Huss Hotel between 8 and 9 o'clock last evening. She registered at the hotel shortly after the train ar rived undur her own name. The only explanation given of Miss Kelly's action -Is that on the Impulse of tho moment she concluded to run away from home on account of fear of chastisement from her mother be cause of a trivial breach of family discipline, Hhe Is of a very senHa tlvo nature, Impulsive to tho extreme, and no doubt took this means of avoiding a scolding. Tho family is again reunited and hapy, and the littlo Incident will soon bo forgotten. Hulil She Wan .Visiting. An Albany dispatch In today's. Ore- gouliin says: Sheriff 8. I). Smith received word from Eugene to be on tho watch for Miss Kelly, bs It wns thought sho might havetaken a train from Eugeno for this city lust Ignht. On looking over the hotel register he was sur prised lo sen her name, and Imme diately mitifled V. J. Miller, who is a connection of hers. Mr. Miller, who Is a brother of Con sul (leneral Miller, of Shanghai, went at once to the hotel with his sister. For a long time there was no re sponse to (heir requests to he allowed to entor the room where sho was, hut finally MIsb Milter alone was allowed to ro in. To her Miss Kolly said she had como away from homo slip ply to visit friends at Albany. Innsmuch as she carried no luggage, nnd had no more I him enough money to pay her hotel bill, this statement looked a little strange to Iho Millers. However, sho said that she was going bnck in tho morning. She was finally persuad ed tu accompany Mr. Miller and his sister home for tho night, and will lake tho morning train for Eugene. Miss Kelly refused to niako any explanation of her sudden trip, other lliaii tlfat she hu'l come to visit friends." She -would have nothing to say ns to her motive, and when asked If she had had a quarrel with a young man she maintained a strict silence. It Ik thought thnt one of two rea sons ni l lulled tho girl to run awny from home either sho had had a quarrel with some young man, or there had been some trouble at home. at 4:30 p. m.
