Western Oregon Lumber Manufac
turers' association held laBt Friday
afternoon, a resolution was adopted
asking the State Commission to re
quire a dally 'report of the car dis
tribution. Such a report will set
tle all questions touching discrimin
ation In the matter of furnishing
cara. Another Item of busness was
the passage of a rosoluton Bsklng
the mills of the state to conform
their lumber cut to the amount of
transportation. The association
considers It bad business manage
ment to accept orders, as was done
Inst year and not be able to fill
them. Mill men find that orders,
unless promptly filled are cancelled,
especially If the price of lumber de
clines. If the price alvances, orders
will be placed a t the advance. It is
not good business to pile lumber on
the docks. Better cut less and send
It away.
Hon. Nathnntel and Nellie Martin

their wedding on Wednesday last,

lngton, Wash. N. H. Martin Is the
youngest son, and Is herding around

James Lebo passed through town
yesterday with his big traction en
gine, on his wny to the J. I. Jones
farm across tho Saginaw. Mr. Lebo
will furnish power for cutting ensl
lago with which to fill the silos. Mr.
Jones has two silos 12 by 30 feet In
size, lie also bus a 40-acro field of
red clover, hip high, which ho will
put Into the silos. If that Is not
