L. Whltson, of tbe Eugeno Commercial Club, haa recclv the following from the Albany Com mercial Club regarding the uhlopera' convention to be held In that city: Albany, Or., Dec. 28, lilOfl. The Eugene Commercial Club, Eugene, Oregon. Gentlemen: The Albany Com mercial Club purpoBoa holding a shippers' and producers' convention In Albany on the 10th of January next. This meeting was suggested by the general Intorost manifested In the recent convention held In Eu gene, and haa been called at the re quest of a large number of shippers and producers who are vitally Inter ested in the questions there discuss ed. At that time there will bo pres ent some of the most prominent speakers of the state, who will dis cuss tlio existing evils which are weighing upon our commonwealth, particularly In rolutlon to inade quate ' transportation facilities, and who will present suitable remedies therefor. The- members of the Btato legislature have ueon urged to be present, and wo have good reason to bollove thnt they will generally re spond to the Invitation. We would be glad to have your body represent ed as largoly as possible, and would aprcclats your co-oparatlon In our efforts to make the convention pro ductive of good to the whole Btato.
