Eugcas's Carnegie Library Which Was Opened to Public Inspection Last JSIight. as for instance by team 30 to 50 miles, bard has been at the bedside of her paralleling tbe railroad on account of sister, Miss Laura Putter, at Walter- the railroad having no train service vi lie for the past three weeks. At on this particular line, this Is doing this wr'ting she reports her sister the merchants of Eugone, as well as ! covering rapidly. the people who trade at Eugene, an Injustice. ' "l'he merchants of Eugene are by every honorable means trying to build up trade and to make this city a good live commercial olty, and they believe with the co-operation of the Southern Pacific Co. m toh good can be done to both parlies Interested The Southern Paoifio Co. will remem ber that when we petitioned for an extension of the Albany local to Eu gene it was done with some misglv lugs, but It baa turned out well for the oompauy and for Eugeno. Now if you will give us what we are about to ask tor we think it will pay you well, give good accommodations to along suffering public and make tho mer ohanta of Eugene happy as well as put dollars In their pookets. And dollars In their pockets means more dollars j to your uompany, as all nierohauts ship more goods with their new dol lars. Now what we want and would like to have very much is, just as soon as the Springfield bridge is com pleted, a passougor train with the fol lowing scheduio: "Leave Eugeue for Wendling at 7 a. m. each morning; leave Wotidllng for Kugone at 8 :20 a. m. Leave Eugene for Nutrou at 0:30 a. m. ; leave Natron for Eugene at 10 a. m. 1-envo Eugone fur Wendling at 10:30 a. in. ; leave Wendling fur Eugeue at 12: O a. m Loavo Eugeue fur Natron at 1 :30 p. m. ; leave Natron for Eugene at 2 p. ni. I.eHve Eugeue for Wendling at 2:30 p. m. ; leave Wendling for Eu woiio a 3:30 p. m., arriving in Eugone at 1:30 p. in and remain over night till 7 o'clock in the morning. This would make a run fur till train of about 1(U miles and it would bo well Durouized. Tho schedule outlined above is merely a suggestion aud yuu j could best arrange it to suit your selves, but what wo want is a letter t train service. "At tho present lime thire are two stage Hues and one autimuhtle line ! operating between Eugene and Springfield to accommodate the pas senger traffic between the two points jand they are veiy buty.
