The mills are all running to about their full capacity, vessels are com ingand going in spiio of the low water, logging camps are ruuuing as they were never before run hero, new camps aro beiuu established, the hay crop is enormous aud has been takou caro of iu good shape, but tho supply is away short of the demand, and largo quantities will be shipped here from California and sold for from llftecu to twouty dollars per ton. A large prolit on all this industry goes to San Francisco. This is a picturo of what is being done at all of the Oregon ports from Til la mock down. Why don't wo buy Oregon hay whou Oregon farmers have bay to burn? Why do we buy so much California Hour? Why does all of our merchaudiso oome from Sau Francisco? Why does all of our lumber go to California? And last, is there sucli a place as Portlaud in Oregon? And if there is 1 do they do giug? any business beside hog- The Coos Bay League.
