dignity but a hurried stride burst upon
the eoene just as the north bound train
was pulling out. He was exolted aud

George L Hastings, an old resident
of the Thurston neighborhood, died
at his home at 10 :80 o'clock Tuesday
night, Oot 7, 1902, from typhoid pneu
monia. The funeral will be held
