The room wa filled wltb delegate and a large number of spectators. The convention was in able bands and th work wa carried on smoothly. Before tbe convention assembled no caucuses had been held and no "slates' hsd been fixed. From tbe beginning to the flalsb It was a difficult proposl tlon to forecast tbe reiult of tbe eon ventlon. Tbe convention met at 10 o'olock this morning for temporary organiza tion.
