The GUARD Is reliably informed that
tie Booth-Kelly Lumber Co ha I t the
ointract for toe hauling by U-am of a
large amount of machinery from their
Baginaw nulls to the Kpriugfield saw
mill which they purchased lasifprliig
It Is stall d that the cnt will li- much
leas to bring the machinery down by
team than by rail.
At the tiniMof the purchase of the
riprlugUeld mill it was the company'i
intention to eiilarge it aud make quite
a number ol improvements on the
property, and no doubt tbe hauling of
tide machinery down from Saginaw is
the beginning of these improvement.
It is stated also that, at the ineetli g
of tbe stockholders of the coinpuny tc
day tbe matter of erecting a mill on
he big tract of timber land recently
purchased by them on Row river,
Above Cottage Grove, was eeriouilv
considered. It has been stated before
that one of the Hsginaw mdls will be
moved to that tract. This may be tbe
case, but It is more likely that a new
mill will be built.
The new Bohemia railroad will have
a spur aeveral miles long extending to
this tract of timber land.
