Yesterday morning wben the north bound overland arrived In this city about 6 o'clock, a well dressed woman, wearing a man's outfit, stepped from a day coach and started down town. The conductor notified the bystanders at the train that the supposed man was a woman and that she boarded the train at (.'ottaee Grove. Heveral pas sengers who were lu tbs same car Baid that she had her hair neatly tucked nnder her hat. She was dressed In dark, well fitting clothes, wore a light sort felt hat and a gentleman's mackln tosh. A traveling man followed her down theBtieet until she reached the Ibau on switch on Fifth street. Hue turned and asked him if be was following her. The drummer said that be was, when the mysterious female replied, "Sir, If you don't want to get the whole top of your head shot off, you had better take the back track." Without further cer emony he "baok-traoked." From this point she disappeared and has not been located since. People wbo noticed ber at the depot and on the train say that she was about 5 feet 8 inches In height, andofsleuder build. ANOTHER VERSION.
