evening. Mayor Cnrlsman, Council
men Green, Oaburn, Peter, Booey and
Barki r were present. After the min
ute were read and approved, the re
port of the finance committee was read
and approved.
Mr Roney reported the work done
by the street oommlttee showing that
9,7111 feet of lumber was used lost
month In construction of crosswalks.
Tbe agreement of M D Bissell to de
liver 7000 yards of orusbed rock at 77
cents per yard, terms of which the
Guard recently printed, was read and
approved.
The health committee reported the
condition at Bangs' stable unobanged.

Mr Osburn the ordinance was laid on
the table. The vote on the motion

Albany Herald: A young man
named H A GUI, of Douglas county,
was arrested on the charge of stealing
a Windsor bicycle from Elmer Lelb,
of Eugene, and taken to tbat city and
held under $200 bonds, tbe number of
the wheel being the same as that
stolen. Gill olalmed tbat he got tbe
wheel in a raffle in Albany, but there
has been no raffle of a Windsor wheel
here.
