A Sadden Death. Florence Weil, July 26. Mr Gilmore, Bi, wbo was camping o i tbe coast near Minnie poitofiice, died suddenly at that place July 23. A letter fiom a resident of that vioinlty gives an account of tbe circumstances about as follows: It was thought Mr Gilmore bad fainted, and Ira Bray was hastily sum moned and came as fist aa he could, being crippled, bul It was soon found tbe old gentleman was dying. Mr Bray did all be could to keep life in the body, but death had claimed It victim and pcor old Grandpa Gilmore wl II be no more on earth to cheer us on that rugged road. The body was put on a wide board which wn lashed to a packsaddle ano taken to Waldport on a horse. The remains will be shipped to Denlson, Texas, for burial. The start for Texas was made in about four hours after his death. L J Gilmore, a son of tbe deceased, was out bunting at tbe time hi father died and did not arrive at the camp until about two hour afterward. LC Gilmore is the owner of the waterworks at Independence, Oregon. His wife aud children will stay at camp while he accompanies tbe re mains to the burial place. Xew Ads Today.
