Of course long of the intending settlers will await until the advance guard locales, and learn from them whether or n it they are pleased, ll may take two or three years to settle a colony of coo' siderabie proportions, but it will surely come. As an earnest of the interest maul fested in this enterprise by people of the Middle West, Kev Hanseu in formed the reporter that be bad re- oeived a letter of Inquiry irom the mauager ot a large sash aud door factory in one of the lake states who is looklug for a location, aud has had bis attention attracted to Eugene by reason of the proposed location of the Danes In this county. While on this trip Rev Hansen will Investigate the feasibility of the loca tion of a new factory at this poiut, and report to him. Rev Hanseu says the gentleman has ample capital to install a first-class plant, and If he decides to locate here will operate a factory on the most moderu methods. Rev Hanseu, from a short survey of the condition here, is inclined to believe that the location of another such factory in Eugene would be a very profitable In vestment.
