Merchant is Dead.

aged 77 year, 1 month and 8 days,

Mr. Peters was born In Bt Michael's
Parish, France, May 28, lb3. He was
married to Lizzie Mbaw in Portland,
Oregon, by .Father Flrens Deo. 27,
1864, wbo died about four years ago.
Tbey came to Eugene from Oakland,
Oregon, and Mr. Peters engaged in
business with the lale Henry D. Par
aons, corner of Eighth and Willamette
streets In 186S. Mince that time he baa
been continuously In business here.
He leaven two brothers and two sin
ters, wbo reside In Han Franosco, and
one brother who Is a Catholic priest,
