This oonsuted of a aeries of views, bv moving pictures, as presented at Ober ammnergao, Bavaria. These scenes were taken by the anlmatosoope from real life, at the last presentation of tbe Passion Play, and are, therefore exact reproductions of every scene of that famous presentation. Tbe life of Christ Is traced from his birth down through his ministry. His betrayal, hi trial, the prooeeslon to the. cross, tbe oruolflxlon, the burial and the resurrection. These scenes are all very fine, and an air of religious soelmntty surrounds them, so much so that ap plause would almost appear aorlIg Tbe scenes are accompanied by sacred mnslo on tbe pipe organ, which make them doubly Impressive. H. B. Miller, consul to Chiang Klang, China, arrived borne from Washington. City, D. O., yesterday morning1. He received his instruc tions from tbe secretary of state while in that city, and also was given by tbe Chinese miniter to eur government letters of introduction, written in the Chinese language, to the high officials In China and also to tbe Emperor, and to tbe director of the Imperial Beltway at Shanghai, China. Consul Miller highly appreciates bis treatment while in Washington. He has engaged as interpreter, a young Chinese who finished a course at Har.ard TJniverii ty recently, but who Is now at Bhanghal. Mr. Miller aud daughter, Mies Laura, will leave for Chiang Klang on Tnursday afternoon's train; will pass Friday at tbelr old borne in Grant's Pass; will leave Ban Francisco on tbe D. B. transport Logan, for Manila. On the return from Manila they will be put ashore at Nagasaki, Japan, From that olty they will goto Bhang. bal, China, about 000 mile", where they will start on their journey Chiang Klang, about 1,600 miles. This trip will be made by railways and steamboat. It will take them probably six week to make the entire trip.
