Tbe ll,lanip mill of the Luokv Bov Company made 1W seventh regular clean-up today, and the retort would not bold It an at once. Everything here is going on smoothly and satisfactorily, as the returnsare eettlue larirer every mouin and the mill has run kteadily day and night ever since Us completion. But it will have to stop two or three aays now, as a steam lioisliug windlass is being put in lo draw wood up from the canyou of Lucky Boy oreek. Tbe two tuunels where the ore is extracted for the mill, nearly lOOfeet above, are both showing flue bodies of free gold rock, aud two up-raises lu ore are nearly made through to tbe surface from tbe upper tunnel. Next week an up-rube will be started to connect I tie two tunnels, aud as .soon as good weather auall come and the new sawmill gets started up, tbe main tunnel below will be enlarged aud retiuibered, and the w ife of stoping in all tbe three tunnels will begin. As tbe 12-foot ledge pays dividends right from tbe very surface, there are thousands of tons of pay ore already In sight, and tbe only drawback now Is tbat tbe mill is entirely 103 small to make tbe showing it ought to make on tbls prop erty at this time. Springfield Meteor. Tbe people of our neighboring town or Spriogfleld are Btlll exoited over tbe meteor tbat was seen to fall into tbe river bottom a short distance above the town Monday evening. The meteor fell between six and s-ven o'clock, before the ma bad zone down, unil was observed by a number of persons boss accounts eubstantlally coincide. It appeared to be about a foot lu diameter aud three feet . long, fell at an angle of about 45 degrees, and did not move with noticeable swiftneas.
