The losses on both sides are re ported to be very heavy, and the work of both armies said to be brilliant exhi bitions of bravery. It is rumored that General Buller has at last succeeded in gol ig through the Boer lines at Tugela river, captured twelve guns and s marching on to the relief of Ueneral Whl'e at Ladysmlth. At Magersfontein the British losses are said to be most severe, seven hun dred of her majesty's soldiers having been mowed down by Boer leaden storms. The funeral of the late Robert Clow, of Junction, was held yesterday after noon to the Mason lo cemetery of this city under auspices of the grand lodge A. F. & A. M. of Oregon. The follow- lowing grand lodge officers were present: J. M. Hoduon, grand master; Henry B. Thlelsou, deputy grand master; S. M. Yoran, junior grand warden ; F. H. Allister, grand treasurer; Jes. F. Robinson, grand Beoretary; Tuos. Gray, graud senior deacon; Darwin BriBtow, grand sword bearer. Other prominent members of the order were In attendance as follows: Dr. W. T.
