McMurphey was tb re cipient of the Bad news tbls forenoon that his mother died at" Prescott, Wis consin, at 1 o'olock this morning. Death resulted from a stroke of apo plexy received July 13, 1899. Mrs. MoMurphey was 70 years and eight days of age, and was one of tbe first settlers in that part of Wisconsin. Wan married in 1848, and seven chil dren, all alive, were tbe issue of the marriage. The father survives at tbe age of 79 years. Mr. MoMurphey will probably leave ou the early train to morrow morning to attend the funeral. Want Homes. I. F.
