In the near future. This ordinance,
while i. living been n law for a number
of years, line practically ueeii a dead

for this 1b that the city has owned no

The county court bat agreed to loan

This is a good resolution. As worthy

A Clerk. From yesterdajs house
proceedings: "Bratlaiu introduced
house resolution No 10, rescinding the
action of the house in allowing an ad

chairman, or by a majority of the
comml.tee; that no bill had yet come
before that committee, and he did not
propose to bear the odium of such ao-

"It is no more than just that I speak
a comdliiiientary word for our new
senator, Dr Kuykcmiall, for he cer
tainly merits it. The practical and
sensible way In which hu deals with
legislative matters has been remarked
upon by members and others. He does
not pose as a great statesman nor make
long winded speeches, but he quick ly
gets at the kernel of a subject and In
his plain, lucid and candid way carries
conviction to the senators and almost
universally carries his point. He has
taken a lively ami intelligent interest
in educational matters and has dili
gently looked after them beside sev
eral on Borne other very Important
committees.
