Quile a iitiuilier of Eugene's young people were entertained New Year's eve by Misses E and C Loomis at tho elegant home of their parents, Dr aDd MrsLooiuison 12th street near the university. The many friends of the young ladies, comfortably filled the largo double parlors, library aud dining rooms and enjoyed playing a series of novel games. It might be called a progressive novelty game, as a difler ent game was pitted at each of the seven tables and each player changed partners after each game or more to the next table. The evening wore rapidly and shortly before the new year was ushered in a delicious lunch eon was served. All joined in wishing the hostesses and their parents a happy New 1'ear and mauy of them.
