These debts will have to be paid in produce, ana anything that will raise the valuo of this will, I believe, benefit all classes. If we can double the price of silver rupee wo have daub led tho price of wheat and therefore double our wheat as to its debt paying capacity. The argument holds good in the silver 'peso' of the Lalin-Amoricaii countries, and an to the price of our meals and live stock. It holds good, too, in Urn silver 'rublo,' and as to the price of oil. It holds good in many i-ays too numerous to mention. Instead of foreigners purchasing tho prod uct of our Bilvor minos at tho ruto of about 70 conts por ounce, and with tho silver buying produce (Bimo or which comes in direct competition with our production) Irom South America and tho Ori ent, they would have to pay at the rate of f 1.29 per ounce."
