Family trouble was supposed to bo the cause, Sellers having separated from his wife not long ago. The warm weather was beneficial to all well cultivated crops, except to late-sown grain. Fall and eorly-r.own grain have made good development, J' out utie-sown grain, I. e., mat sown In May and the fore part of June, was iujured by tho weather. Kurly grain Is heading nicely, but the late grain needs rain badly; if rain does not soon fall the lute-sown grain will not make even hay. Reports covering all crops, are good, except for fruit. Thero are occasional localities where the condi tions ore not favorable. Iu Eastern Oregon, spring-sown grain is less able to stand the dry weather than the fall-sowu.
