If these young people from Hub bard were refused admission it was because of insufficient preparation in their studies The University is not a high school, but w hen any one who has satisfactorily completed four years study above the eighth grade, such a course as Is offered in the high schools, there is no question about their admission to lhe Univer sity. Neither does each stud*<it have to help pay for a football coach. All foot ba II exp uses art paid from the re ipts at ma h games with O. A. Therefore when a man says that the poor man’s son has not just as giy.d a chance, or Is not respected just as much, as a rich man's son at the University of Oregon, or that students pay out of their pockets for the football coach, he Is either misinformed or is wilfully misrep resenting the truth.
