Northern mine in the Blue Hirer dis
trict, under a lease and bond, is in
the city. He brought down from the
mines 46 oun.-es of gold bullion, the
output of a six days’ run of the two-
stamp mill at tie Great Northern
mine. The or' ws» milled from a tine
ledge ten feet wi le and very rich
with the yellow metal.
This ore. If milled by a 40 stamp
mill, would run up to #150,000 per
mouth. The 45 ouuces is worth about
•800.
The Great Northern is owned by
Brownsville parties, but Mr. Standish
aud those associated with him will
purchase the property.

late Sheriff W. W. Withers by Spring
field Eodge, Woodmen of the World,
will take place at the Eugene Mason
ic cemetery.
The ceremonies will he conducted
by that lodge of which he was a mem
ber. The address will be made by
Sheriff Fisk, first deputv at the time
of the killing.
