Mr. Jeuckes is an eiitertaiuiug speaker mid one of the best orators in Eugene. The afternoon was ‘liken up with races, etc. Mrs. Will. Sweet's baby received th« prize for living the prettiest baby. Miss \ eda Huie received the prize for being the prettiest young lady. Bill Landers won the young men's race. The horse race was won by Sam Fer guson.
