These lands are most valuable

A lodge of Bebekahs was organized
at Monmoiith last Thursday by Mrs.
Corrie Hubbard, stae organizer

initiation ;of twenty-seven candidates.
After tiie initiation, which was
gone through by eleven o'clock, in
Mrs. Hubbard's usual prompt manner,

Take Hall's family rills for constipation .
PUT UP GOOD CAME.
A eood game of base ball was play
ed in Independence Sunday between
the team of this city and Monmouth.
After the first two innings the game
took on all the semblance of pro
fessional playing. From the second
inning neither side was able to score.
The game resulted in favor of Mon
mouth, the score standing nine to
three. Batteries for Independence
were Clay Freeman of Corvallis and
James Collins. For Monmouth Force
and Craven. With the splendid
showing made in the game Sunday
it is evident that Independence can
have one of the best teams in the
country. The boys need suits and
paraphernalia. These details should
be looked after that our boys can
make a creditable appearance in game.
