But at the present writing it looks as if it would soon be wet enough. Jas. Hilterbrand & Son have finished drying 5500 pounds of prunes on the Stump farm and will now commence to dry the apples. C. W. Stewart has returned from the Foley Springs. Where he went for his health. We are glad to note that he is much improved in health and in a short time will be able to work. While returning from Monmouth last Thursday Dr. II. K. Nehrbas horse became frightened and threw the doc tor from the buggy and ran home. We are glad to say that no serious damage was done. Our school is progressing nicely under the able management of C. J. Graham. Fair View can boast of having one of the beBt country schools in the county, having 22 pupils enrolled and a good class in the eighth grade. F. M. Skinner has disposed of his team and truck outfit to Boydston and Campbell, who will continue the busi ness, while Mr. Skinner hag not yet de cided what he will do.
