Rrouse suffered a stroke of paralysis Monday and his condition has been critical. He is well advanced in years. He was working about the yard when he was stricken. It is thought he will recover from this shock. G. A. Hurlev was in Dallas over Wednesday evening. Ralph Williams, of Dallas, came in on this morning's train. If the men behind it are reully the Indiana interurban railroad-builders, as has been semi officially announced. Portland is likely to profit by their enterprise. These men are certain to extend the road wherever there is traffic in sight. In this case they cannot stop Bouth of Corvallis. Every farm within three miles of the road will have added value. The only interest to be adversely aflected is the Southern Pacific, and its earnings will increase in the long run by reason of added develop ment. Mrs. Ellen Robertson, in this city, on Wednesday morning at 9:00 o'clock, the wedding of Miss Lucretia Robertson and Mr. Claude Pengra, of Glendale, Southern Ore- eon, was solemnized in the pres ence of relatives and a few close frlnnrls.
