Alonzo Brown passed away at Florence Sanitorium in this city yesterday at 3:30 o'clock P. M., after an illness of several weeks, aged about 45 vears. Mr. Brown was a resident of Dallas, Polk county, where lor many years he has been engaged in the mercantile business. He has been suffering for several months from gall-stones and was brought to this city last Friday, where an operation was performed in the hope of effecting a cure and restoring him to health. Everything known to medical science was done for him, nut all efforts were in vain and the end came yesterday as above stated. Deceased was a son of Wm. Brown, of Polk county.
