He remained there one year, then moved to Iowa. In 1845 he married aubs fi.l J Xealev. with whom he came to Oregon in 1853. He lo cated in folk county, some ngii. miles south oi wonmoum, nu-riw he had constantly resided, except for a few veara spent in Monmouth. Mr. WolveVton was the father of seven children W. M. Wolverton, of Cascade, B. C ; Justice C. h. Wolyerton, of Salem; Rev Bruce Wolverton, of Portland; A. P. Wol verton, of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Dr. J. C. Byrd, of Spokane; Otis A., of Monmouth, and Grant S., of Spokane. Mr. Wolverton was one of Folk county's most substantial citizens.
