Plans arc also be ing discussed by the students as to spading up some of the soil in front of the school building anil having members of the student body plant it to flowers and shrubbery .This would greatly add to the attractiveness of the school. A number of the students were ab sent from school last week on account of illness. Among these were Thel- nm Williams, Ha:.el Cooley, Kather ine Peters nnd Edna Burch. We are glad to note that they are back this week resuming their studies. I A delicioious breakfast was served j by the second year domestic science j class, at the high school Wednesday morning, the girls with Miss Mang s assistance, made out the menu, which was as follows: First course, orange Second course, cream of wheat; third course, waffles; hum and coffee. They hope to serve a lunch in the near fu ture. An essay contest was held last week the title of these essays was, "Ilenefits j of Enlistment in the U. S. Army." ; jThe winners were, Ruth Dickinson. ; first prize; Myrtle Houx 1 seeend prize Winona Wood, third prize.
