gon for the present year has been
warded to (Veil K. Lyans, a grad
uate of the I'nlverslty of Oregon In
the class of 1909. The award whs
made by the State Rhodes Scholar
ship Committee, wblch met In Sab-ra
last Saturday. Lyans will enter Ox
ford next September, and his scholar
ship will be good for three years
