There have bean quite a number of strangers in town the past week, the majority looking for work in the har vest field presumably, but no doubt some are out for no good. They don't have the appearance of .men who really want work. Dr. Butler and his brother Fred re turned home thi week from a two weeks trip to Crook county where they went to look after some land interests they have in that locality. The doctor seems to be well pleased with the future of that country and thinks that with railroad transporta tion that it will be the equal of any in the state. Th Black Tent. It is their intention to give at all times the evry best high class entertainment that money can procure. During their stay here they will exhibit a number of specially selected feature films. Young of Independence wa in town Sunday on his way home from Belknap Springs where be and his son have been recuperating for several weeks. Mr. Young is a hop dealer and operates several yards himself. Before going Into camp ht contracted 85,000 pounds at 20 cents and is Jubilant over the fact that hops reached 23 cents, and say he would not be aurprised to see them go to 30 cents.
