Last Sunday Len B. Fishback be­
gan his second year o f work as pas­
tor o f the Central Christian church
Mr. Fishback is a graduate of both
the Eugene Bible University and
the University o f Oregon, having
»pent five years in the two institu­
tions. He will serve as a student
pastor next winter and will receive
his B. D. degree from the E. B. U.
next spring. During the past year
forty nine have been added to the
church, twenty six by baptism and
twenty three by letter or by ctate-
ment. The Sunday School enroll­
ment has been increased from 125
to 200, and all the departments of
the church are planning on doing
even greater work in the future.—

Chautauqua is a veritable festival of music. Lieurance’s Little Symphony Orchestra is scheduled
for two notable concers. Then there is the Sam Lewis Company, headed by the prominent Welsh
tenor, Sam Lewis; The Orpheus Four, America's foremost male quartet; The Jugo-Slav Tamburica
chestra; Walter Jenkins: The Roach-Freeman Company. Twelve concerts in all— certainly the
music alone is worth far more than the cost o f the season ticket.
Many notables appear on the Chautauqua lecture staff this season. Stefansson. the famous
