Mark Conklin, son of Rev, and Mrs. Peter Conklin. came home from Tacoma to spend theweek end with his parents and sister. Mr. Stombaugh has received his discharge from the army and has been visiting for the past week with his wife!in this'city. Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson and their four fine boys of Portland autoed down to spend the week end with Mrs. Fergusons mother Mrs. Aider son and they also visited Sat urday afternoon at W. H. Mack s. F; C. Davidson and daughter were Portland visitors Saturday and Sunday with Mrs. Davidson who is in the Good Samaritan hos Dital in that city recovering from the effects of an operation. Mrs. Davidson is getting along nicely and will be home within a month IraC. Powell has replaced his Ford sedsn car with an eight cylin der Studebaker. Miss Wilda Elaine Fuller was a Portland visitor Friday, stopping at the hotel Portland. W. J. Mulkey, Jr. was here from Eugene to spend the week end with his parents. The regular meeting of the Grange will be held a week from Saturday. The prospects are fa vorabli that Prof ., Brewster of the 0. A. C. Poultry Department will be present and be the feature of the program. E. W. Strong disposed of his Luckiamute valley farm this week the purchaser being Harry glodgett one of the well known King's Val ley family. This is the farm which Mr. Strong acquired from John Denney in a trade for the hotel. It includes $H acres. At the present time there is auite a demand for farm property In this section of the Willamette valley Miss Neta Waller has finished her school duties for the year in the Bunker Hill district at Marshfleld and is here to spend her summer vacation with her parents.
