SUMMONS In the Circuit Court of the State of Oregon for Polk County. Dept. No. 2. Bnmdmewl Farm Co., a corpora tion, Huintiff, vs. Alice I. Mead and Alice I. Mead, ax adminis tratrix of the estate of Volney C. Mead, deceaned, Ethel Marie White and Hurry M. White, her husband and I'U-rre D. Mead, a minor, De fendants. To Hurry M. While and Tierre D. You and each of you are hereby required and summoned to be and appear in the above entitled court and cause within six weeks from and after the dutc of the first publication of this summons and if you fail to so appear or answer plaintiffs complaint within said time the plaintiff will apply to the Ciurt for the relief prayed for in said complaint against you and each of you and said other defend ants, to-wit: For a decree decree ing pluintifT to be the owner of and you and each of you to have no right, title, interest or estate in or to the hereinafter described lands in I'olk County. Oregon, and de creeing said lands to have been held by V. C. Also the following described lands, to-wit: Beginning at a point 1268 2 feet East of the Southwest corner of the Edwin T. Stone Dona tion Land Claim in Township 6 South Range 5 West of the Willamette Meridian; running thence East 807.78 feet; thence South 816.5 feet; thence South 0 degrees 29 minutes West ,378.5 feet to the Easterly line of the S. P. R. R. right of way; thence North 33 de-. grees 47 minutes West along the S. P. R. R. right of way to the place of beginning, containing 11 .25 acres, and being tract No. 74 of Broadmead Farms. You' and each of you are further notified that this summons is served upon you by publication thereof in the Monmouth Herald, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published weekly in Polk county, state of Oregon, pursuant to an or der of the Hon. H, H . Belt, Judge of the Circuit Court of the state of Oregon for Polk county. You are further notified that the date of the first publication of this summons is the 18th day of Janua ry, 1918, and that the last date of such publication is the 1st day of March, 1918. He was born In Pel ham, Mass., in 1859. He moved to the state of Washington in 1890 and to Dallas in 1900. He was s bridge builder and carpenter, work' ing for the S. P. His funeral ser vices were conducted by the Free Masons. Jack Ryan and W. M. Kelley who were arrested at Albany and brought to Polk county charged with burglary at Falls City, were tried in Dallas and it turned out that the county had no evidence against them. Kelley, who runs a second hand store in Albany plead ed guilty to receiving stolen goods and was fined $250. Ryan was al lowed to go free. The.Salem bridge across the Wil lamette was thrown open to foot passengers last week, and is expect ed to be available for automobiles and wagons in the near future, in the event that no more floods ap pear. As there were only two jury cas es to come before the court in its present term, Judge Belt has set them over to the next tejm and will have no jury trials during the pres ent session.
