Mrs. Peter Skogset of Portland and daughter Mrs. Roy Hall of McMinnville were up visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Harvey and family Friday and Saturday. They were well pleased with the appearance of this country. Mrs. Mabel Ground Johnson, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Ground returned Sunday evening from Chicago where she has been attending the American Conservatory of Music for the last two years and is now a grad uate from that institution. J. M. McDonald has received notice from the State Dairy In spector, that after September the first, any one in the State of Oregon, wishing to sell milk, must have his cows tested for tuberculosis. This is a state law, passed by the last legislature and it means the man with one cow as well as the man with fifty. Mr. McDonald believes that this is a good law and hopes it will be vigorously enforced. Christian Church Notes W. A. Elkins, Pastor Bible School at 10 A. M. Endeavor at 7 P. M. Morning service at 11 A. M. Evening service at 8 P. M. Mid-week service, Wednesday evening. Dr. Madden, formerly mission ary to Japan, will speak next Sunday, both morning and even ing. Mr. Madden was in Japan for twenty years and he knows the country and its people. You will miss a treat if you do not hear him.
