At the time work was started on the railroad from Drain to Coos bay, Mr. Stitt had a chance to sell and took advantage of the opportunity. This railroad was for the most part graded, uea and rails were laid on it and then it was abandoned. Recently bridge beams and rails from this ricrht of way were taken up and placed on the line from Eugene to Coos Bay.
