Wild geese have been migrat ing Northward for a few days past and we presume that they sense the good old Summer time coming in the Northland. Mr. Earl D. Miller of Daven port, Nebraska, arrived here Tuesday on a visit to M. N. Bow man and other friends. Mr. Bowman and Mr. Miller were ac quainted in the East. The Oregon Power Company is going to put in a transmission line from Albany to Brownsville by way of Shedds, Tangent and Hal soy. The work of stretching wires is to commence this week. There has been considerable frost during the past two weeks but so far as we have learned the fruit crop has not been injured to any great extent, and the out look is good for an abundant crop.
