The lecture, which was given at the M. K. Church last Sunday evening by Mr. Waller Tooze, Jr., was great ly enjoyed by all who heard it. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Morrison who has been sending several days with Mr. anil Mrs. II. Morrison returned to their home in Perrvdale Sunday. Mrs. W. C. Cook and children, Gladys and Chester, came up from McMinnville Friday and visited until Sunday p. in. at the Snyder home. It is rumored that the women's wage law is violated in Dallas, Uctier look a little out or the commission will swoop down on the guilty party. H. E. Thayer who for the past two months has been doing reponorial work on the Observer is now employ ed at the S. P. deot having severed his connection with this office. Two cars of concrete tile were received by the county court yester day. This tile is of several sizes aud can be used for small as well as large culverts. It is of extra good quality and will last a life time. Mrs. Steiison of Buell Stent the last of the past week with fiiends in Dallas. Mrs. Stenson is a vocal teacher, who expects to come to Dal las in the near future (o start a class. Dr. E. James Sheets and wife have returned from a visit of several days in Pott lund and Forest Grove. The doctor's parents live in the latter city and he reports a very pleasant visit. Mayar Van . Orsdel has returned from his visit at Eugene. He reports a very pleasant trip. While absent he stopped at Salem and called on the railroad commissioners to see what progress is being made in regard to the city water late.
