Registration for the coming fall election to bo held throughout the slate, November 4, is, so far as Polk county is concerned, listless. Owing to the fact that the registration books from practically every precinct in the county are still out, it is impossible to secure a check on the numlier reg istered. Two of the important and highly interest ing features of the pioneer exhibit at the Polk county fair and which are deserving of tqecinl inter est were the photographs of 100 Polk county pioneers lent by Mr. Stone, and the showcase used by Uncle Bill Brown in the early pioneer days and which was furnished by Mrs. V.
