"The following schools have been placed on the roll of honor for the county for not having had any tar dies during the month: Pedee, Red Prairie, Valley View, Cochran, Oak Point, Brush College, Spring Valley, Harmony, Lincoln, Crowley, Sunny Slope, Lone Star, Guthrie, Powells Camp, Liberty, Black Rock, Oak hurst, Mountain View, Hopville, Highland. Attendance Increases. "The per cent of attendance for this month is some better than last month and we are now sure of hav ing more than the 95 per cent we were trying for the entire county, which means that this is the first of year in the history of the county that the entire county has made for the year a per cent as great as 95. The following schools are now standard schools having won all of the eleven points required: Spring Valley, North Dallas, Buena Vista, Lincoln, Orchards, Oakhurst, Ward, West Salem, Oak Point, Mistletoe, Liberty, Mountain View, Guthrie, Lewl'svllle, Perrydale, Bethel, Brush College, Hopville, Airlie, Fir Grove, Red Prairie, Dallas Public School, Independence Public School, Balls ton, Antioch, Independence High School, Falls City." He said that citizens of Independence had subscribed $100, that the Commercial club of that city had contributed $32, that resi dents of Spring Valley vicinity had assisted to a certain extent, and that Dallas people had furnished the bal ance of the $300 . necessary to send the representative. She had been given literature- from Independence and Dallas and would represent all section of Polk county. The report of the Financial Secre tary showed a balance on hand of $908.75 on June 6. Manager C. W. MInnich, of the Adjustable Electric Socket company reported that he had an option on a site and hoped to begin construct Ion of his factory today. The matter of arranging with the company for the payment of the Commercial club's donation toward the site, was left with the committee on manu facturea with power to act. A. V. R. Snyder, C. L. Hubbard and F. C. Meyer were admitted as members of the club. The financial secretary was author ised to make weekly collections from Summons.
